CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic peptide analog of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH). The addition of the DAC component allows the peptide to bind to serum albumin, dramatically extending its half-life from minutes to approximately 6–8 days. This sustained-release mechanism makes CJC-1295 DAC one of the most studied long-acting GHRH analogs in research applications.
Mechanism of Action
CJC-1295 with DAC stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to secrete pulsatile growth hormone (GH), which in turn elevates Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) levels. The DAC modification (a maleimidopropionic acid linker) covalently bonds to circulating albumin, protecting the peptide from enzymatic degradation and prolonging biological activity.
